Erick Ponce
Erick Ponce is a civil engineer with a passion for the construction industry, currently working as the Lead CSA Field Engineer for the Mining and Metals division of the world-renowned engineering, project management, and construction company, Bechtel Corporation. With a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University and experience in various industries such as mining, utility, and water resources, he has been involved in several projects across the world, including the Sabine Pass Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project for Cheniere Energy and the Olefins Recovery Ethane Cracker for ExxonMobil in North America. He has also held multiple roles such as Field Engineering and Field Supervision, and currently, he is on international assignments in Trinidad and Tobago and Chile.
At Bechtel Corporation, he has also worked as the Construction Innovation Implementation Coordinator at Division headquarters, providing him with a unique perspective of the organization's overall functioning. Erick has not only been active in the corporate world but also in the academic realm as a dedicated teaching assistant for graduate/undergraduate civil engineering courses. Additionally, he has been a Social Coordinator at SHPE Houston Chapter, showing his commitment to giving back to society.
