Luis Ormazabal is a highly accomplished lawyer with a specialty in commercial litigation. Boasting significant experience in complex commercial disputes, insolvency, and commercial debt recoveries, he has had several notable successes throughout his career. Additionally, Luis was awarded the title of Legal Representative of the Year at the 2019 NSW Pinnacle Awards.

Some of Luis's notable achievements include acting as legal counsel to an ASX listed company and playing a crucial role in successfully setting aside a default judgment order, garnishee order, and summary dismissal of proceedings, with an order as to costs. Luis also represented a Liquidator in a $16 million dollar voidable transactions claim and successfully negotiated a commercial resolution to the claim. Other successes include acting as legal representation for a large institutional property client in recovering $1.2 million, including procuring urgent freezing orders in the Supreme Court of NSW.

Luis Ormazabal studied Juris Doctor, Law at the University of Technology, Sydney and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.), Accounting degree from the University of Western Sydney. Throughout his career, Luis has worked for Access Law Group as a solicitor, Makinson & d'Apice as a lawyer, and as an Associate at BBW Lawyers, where he currently serves as a Senior Associate.
