George Dolbier
George Dolbier
George Dolbier is a highly creative and accomplished professional with over three decades of experience in the technology industry. He has worked in various roles, including IT operations, software engineering, architecture, sales, and marketing. As a fifth-generation Oregon pioneer, Dolbier is also an adventurer who has circumnavigated the world twice and holds four patents to his name. He is a published author and enjoys snowboarding, juggling, welding, and 3D printing.
Dolbier studied Computer Science at Portland State University and was a student at Road, Long, School of Engineering. He has worked as a director of engineering at CenterSpan and ThrustMaster and was a software engineer at Informix and Sequent.
Dolbier's most recent work has been as the managing partner of a small private equity fund while also focusing on his passion for creating cool stuff at the Portland Hackerspace. He is a member of the PDX Hackerspace community and has previously worked as the Global Technical Lead for Linux and Emerging Opportunities at IBM.
In addition to his technical skills, Dolbier is also competent in sales and marketing, having worked as the Director of Engineering at Control C Software, CTO Interactive and Social Media, Client Technical Lead in the Western Region, and Sr. CTL Community Lead for the Enterprise Business Unit at IBM.
