Dylan Roberts is a Texan filmmaker and journalist with a passion for storytelling. He learned the art of film making at the Austin Film Society and studied Broadcast Journalism at the University of Arkansas. Dylan's passion for documentary film has taken him to over 30 countries, including Iraq, Lebanon, Cuba, Uganda, and Somalia. He co-founded Freelance Society in 2013 with Christian Stephen, where they focused on telling stories in complex countries. Dylan's works have been featured in major media outlets, such as Vice Media, New York Times, AJ+, American Heart Association, and many more. He was also a co-producer for the Sun Ladies VR film that premiered at Sundance, SXSW, and Cannes Film Festivals in 2018. Dylan is an expert in documentary film making and virtual reality projects, and he has created some of the first Virtual Reality Tourism Projects in Arkansas. He also served as a Media Director at ForgottenSong. Through his work, Dylan aims to bring awareness about important issues and inspire change.
