Jeff Berg is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and executive chairman of Surfline, a digital media company. With over 20 years of experience in professional investing, Berg founded Matador Capital Management in 1993 and was formerly an institutional securities analyst at Raymond James Financial. He co-founded Swell in 1999, a direct marketer of surf apparel and accessories, which was later acquired by Billabong. From 1995 to 2000, Berg served as Chairman of AccentHealth, a network providing patient education-oriented TV programming in medical waiting rooms. He is also a former Chairman of NTN Buzztime and a former board director of Surfrider Foundation.
Berg's conservationist roots date back to his early teens when he developed a passion for the coastal waters of Florida and fly-fishing through his father's influence. He is an avid pilot of Aero Commander and supports Surfline's swell modeling validation programs in the Caribbean and Baja. Berg studied BSBA at the University of Florida.
