Altman Solon, a global strategy consulting firm, has recently welcomed Ben Happel as the founding director of its Singapore office. With over 18 years of experience in providing advice to investors and lenders in the telecommunications, media, and technology (TMT) sector, Happel is considered a leader in his field. He has a proven track record of delivering pre- and post-transaction advice, and excellent support in commercial and technical due diligence. In January 2021, Happel launched Altman Solon's first Asia-Pacific (APAC) office in Singapore, bringing his expertise and extensive network in the TMT industry to the region.

Happel holds a PhD in International Management from the University of St. Gallen, an MBA from the University of Passau, and has participated in the International Marketing program at the University of Malaga. Happel also spent a visiting scholarship at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. His professional experience includes working as a Partner at hh brainpool, Consultant at Altman Vilandrie & Company, Principal at Solon Management Consulting, and Partner at Springer & Dame oHG. Happel began his career as a Summer Analyst at Deutsche Bank, where he worked in the Investment Banking Telecoms Team.
