In 2018 I, as a passionate sailor and port user, joined the Ostend Port Community. In the same year, I 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 and since 2019 (when I became secretary) I became one of the driving forces of this wonderful organisation of port users (Port & Airport Ostend, Port Zeebrugge and Port of Antwerp (PoAB)).

Since 2022, we have 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 even further and I will 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. OHG (OPUA) is thé 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 & 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁).

In 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟴, 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗭𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 above the font and after more than a quarter of a century, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹.

I am responsible for 𝗕𝟮𝗕 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 so I work with powerful and influential entrepreneurs to see how we can further strengthen the foundations of Theater aan Zee so that the festival can have an even more international profile.
