Elena Sánchez is an experienced energy expert with over 20 years of professional experience in the field. She has held various consulting and management positions in areas of environment, energy efficiency, renewable and alternative fuels mobility.

She is the former Vicepresident at Spanish Technology Platform on Energy Efficiency, where she worked in the promotion of energy efficiency at a national level. Elena has also created and directed Energylab, an Efficiency and Sustainability Energy Technology Centre that established regional policies on energy issues and promoted the penetration of new energy efficiency technologies.

Elena has published a book on management of radioactive waste and various articles. She is a regular speaker at national and international forums and has received recognition for being one of the 40 Most Influential People in European Utility Week 2014.

Elena's expertise includes energy efficiency, renewable energy, energy services companies, and policies and service design for energy self-consumption and energy balance.
