Erik Torrenberg is a venture capitalist, community builder, and serial founder based in the United States. With a degree in Economics and English Literature from the University of Michigan, he has invested and co-founded numerous companies, including On Deck, Village Global, Token Daily (now known as Volt Capital), and rapt.fm. He is known to invest in pre-seed companies, and some of his notable investments include Rappi, Nurx, and Figma. Additionally, he has worked as a product marketer at Seelio, curriculum developer at IMG Academy, and business developer at Direct Brands. As a son of Israeli and Colombian immigrants, he has expanded his portfolio by investing in start-ups in ecosystems outside the U.S. Erik is also a co-host of the Venture Stories and Execs podcasts, as well as a featured guest on the Product Hunt podcast.
