Anita Mechler
Anita Mechler is a seasoned Library and Archives professional with expertise in managing diverse types of libraries, computer education, research, presentations, and grant-funded programs. Her experience working in private, public, academic, and corporate libraries has made her familiar with patrons of all ages and learning abilities. Over the years, she has been actively involved with several organizations including ALA, SAA, MAC, CAA, and the Chicago Metro History Fair. Anita Mechler Consulting is her current consultancy practice, which she started after demonstrating her leadership and problem-solving skills as the Records Management Specialist at Rotary International, Executive Director at The Young Adult Library Services Association, Project Manager / Archivist at Black Metropolis Research Consortium, and many other positions. Anita is a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign alumnus and Loyola University of Chicago graduate with a degree in Sociology & Women's Studies. She presently lives in Chicago and continuously learns new skills to expand her expertise further.
