Amit Arora, a data scientist at Hughes Network Systems with over 18 years of work experience in satellite networking, has transitioned to a full-time data scientist role. Arora holds a Master’s Degree in Data Science and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Georgetown University, and a B. Tech in Instrumentation and Control from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. Arora has extensively worked on satellite systems with direct work experience on satellite modems as well as hub-side gateways, and on several key technologies related to IPv6, IMS, traffic acceleration, traffic shaping, encryption, routing, layer 2 protocols, FIPS 140-2 certification, and diagnostics. Arora has a flair for teaching and writing and has authored a book on his journey towards fitness and strength. Arora loves working with data, R and Python, machine learning, AutoML, deep learning, NLP, Shiny, and Google Cloud Platform.
