James Melville, a retired U.S. ambassador with over 30 years of experience in promoting American foreign policy, has successfully pursued complex missions in a variety of sectors. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Boston University and a Doctor of Law degree from Rutgers University, Melville honed his skills as a diplomat, advocate, and administrator. He served as the Deputy Chief of Mission of the American Embassy in Berlin, the Executive Director of the EUR-IO/EX at the U.S. Department of State, and as the President and CEO of the Global Alliance for South Carolina. Additionally, he held academic positions as an Associate Dean at the College of Charleston's School of Languages, Cultures, and World Affairs, where he focused on international outreach and community engagement. Melville's career as an ambassador enabled him to focus on promoting U.S. national interests, enhancing diplomatic relations and communication, and fostering global partnerships.
