Solyman Ashrafi is a highly skilled technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of product development expertise. He has worked with major operators in both the U.S. and Europe. Ashrafi was responsible for developing a wide range of technologies that included millimeter waves, in-building fiber, DAS, small cells, massive MIMO, CBRS, 5G, IoT, AI, data centers/MEC, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. He also developed several projects in wireless and fiber communications, cloud computing, and bio-sciences. His wide-ranging expertise includes new temporal and spatial techniques to increase spectral efficiency for fiber, cable, twisted pair, and wireless. Ashrafi led the development of the world's first LTE network, while at metroPCS, within the social, messaging, digital media, financial services, advertising, and VoLTE/RCS product teams. He has also raised multiple funds for and launched several venture-backed companies in software, technology, and cloud-based applications.

Additionally, Ashrafi has written more than 70 refereed publications and has over 200 patents. He studied Applied Physics, Communications Engineering, and Wave Propagation, among others, at The Catholic University of America, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Ashrafi currently serves as an adviser to Mavenir and is also a former SVP & CTO of Global Operations. He is also the Managing Partner at NxGen Partners and a former Vice President of Product Management at T-Mobile/metroPCS. He has also held senior positions at Ericsson and Nortel Networks, where he was the Senior Director of Wireless Ventures.
