- Engaged in every aspect of design consulting for baggage handling systems for a variety of airports both domestic and international, including Chicago O’Hare, Kempegowda in Bangalore India, Seattle-Tacoma, and Auckland New Zealand.
- Executed conveyor system design and integration, interdisciplinary project coordination, field installation and commissioning oversight, bid presentation preparation, specification writing, data collection and interpretation, and report writing.
- Worked alongside and directed system designers and drafters to make deliverable deadlines and create a lean and efficient product for each client, be they airport owner such as the Port of Seattle, or company such as SOM Architecture.
- Acted as company liaison to oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation and testing for thousands of feet of conveyor and baggage equipment at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
- Created and presented a company-wide informational presentation on using ultraviolet light to sanitize baggage as it enters a baggage handling system, and then used that information to write an article for the company to post to LinkedIn.

Project Engineer

- Created a design mock-up with alternatives for a “theft-resistant” messenger bag, including preparatory requirement defining, such as quantifying cut-resistance. Developed and defined mock-up subsystems, such as a locking mechanism and a tamper-proof opening interface.
- Worked successfully with a small team to create and deliver these preliminary design stage facets in comprehensive reports to the customer, Art Maples, while adhering to a strict progress schedule.
- Determined materials choices based on material science knowledge, tactile comfort, and extensive research into current cut-resistance technology.
- Worked alongside a textile industry professional to fabricate the final product using advanced cutting and sewing techniques.

Lead Designer, Fabricator

- Taught engineering and STEM concepts and processes to children ages 7 to 14 using models, projects, and computer applications that demonstrated these ideas. These served to develop skills such as logical thinking, time management, and teamwork in the children over the course of a week.
- Provided necessary childcare while working as part of a larger team of instructors to coordinate classes and events throughout the day, gave feedback to parents regarding ability and behavior, and encouraged the children with fun activities and enthusiasm for engineering in general.
- Designed and tailored projects and activities to meet the specific needs of each science concept being taught while maintaining an efficient use of materials and time under the leadership of a professional engineer in the aerospace sector.

Engineering For Kids

- Led the science-in-the-movies summer camp, in which children were taught about the special effects industry while they participated in movie stunts, such as explosives demonstrations, high-fall bag stunts, and rope-course running.
- Oversaw set-up of every event and demonstration, managed children and provided essential childcare, maintained customer satisfaction by following up with both parents’ and children’s expectations, and administered paperwork such as waivers and coupons.
- Participated in the creation and assembly of set props, the wiring of incendiaries, the operation of small machinery such as smoke machines, and set construction.
- Worked on set at multiple shoots, operating under commercial set conditions that require caution, silence, and being on foot for hours at a time.
