Ryan Flannery is an experienced manager and developer with a strong background in Computer Science. He has extensive experience working with various programming languages, tools and technologies, system architecting and data modeling, devops, and systems administration. He is currently the Manager of Research Intelligence at Bloomberg LP where he manages how the company builds their core research product to serve hundreds of thousands of analysts globally. Ryan is a passionate team builder and enjoys helping developers grow and improve, while building cohesive, agile, and fun teams.

Ryan's educational experience includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Pure Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati. He also studied towards a PhD, but never completed it.

Before joining Bloomberg LP, Ryan has had a vast array of experiences, including working at Sinapse Consulting and co-founding his own startup, Etherealsoft LLC. In addition, he also has experience working as a Computer Science Teacher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, an Open-Source Developer, a Senior Developer and Architect, and a Software Developer at Emerson Electric Co and General Electric, respectively.
