Lauren Biermann is an accomplished oceanographer and earth observation research scientist with a Ph.D. in Biogeochemical Oceanography from the University of St. Andrews and a Master's Degree in Biological Oceanography from the University of Cape Town. With a strong academic background and years of professional experience, Biermann has worked in several positions. Her previous positions include Senior Remote Sensing Scientist at Cefas and a PhD Student at Sea Mammal Research Unit. Currently, she holds the position of Earth Observation Research Scientist at Plymouth Marine Laboratory. Biermann's expertise lies in biogeochemical oceanography and remote sensing. She is an expert in analyzing satellite and in-situ observations to investigate and monitor ocean ecosystems. Her research interests focus on the impact of climate change on ocean biogeochemistry, biodiversity, and ecosystem dynamics.
