Johan Govea is an entrepreneurial executive with a passion for building agile and entrepreneurial capabilities in organizations. He has experience serving organizations of all sizes in the educational, technology, manufacturing, and non-profit sectors. Johan's specialties include strategy development and implementation, agile and lean development/manufacturing, developing collaborative innovation ecosystems, and building learning organizations and value co-creating communities (employees & clients).

Johan studied engineering at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria and earned an MBA from the prestigious IMD Business School. He currently serves as a director at IMD Business School, where he focuses on unlocking the creative genius of the human spirit for more sustainable business and a healthier planet.

Johan is a South African native and loves nature, kayaking in white water rapids, and pioneering unconventional projects. He partnered with a South African university to use the power of soccer for educational and socio-economic development while also building a centre of excellence in sport development on African soil. He also pioneered IMD ACE (Alumni Community for Entrepreneurship) as a local ecosystem partner that continues to grow globally.
