Josh Dorfman is an accomplished environmental entrepreneur, author, and leader with a wealth of experience in launching and scaling sustainable ventures and initiatives. He studied International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his MBA in International Management at Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Dorfman is the Co-Founder & CEO of Simbly, a sustainable furniture company that manufactures in Western North Carolina. He is also a former Creator, Curator & Host of The Lazy Environmentalist, a media brand he created to help consumers discover easy and stylish ways to embrace sustainable living. Additionally, he has served on Governor Roy Cooper’s North Carolina Entrepreneurship Council.

Dorfman's previous experience includes serving as CEO of The Collider, a nonprofit innovation center that prepared communities and companies to adapt and become resilient to the impacts of climate change. He has also played a leadership role in numerous other ventures, including Venture Asheville, Asheville Angels, Mountain BizWorks, and Amazon's Vine.com.

Dorfman is a frequent keynote speaker on sustainability and innovation at industry conferences and has addressed numerous organizations, including PepsiCo, Google, The North Face, and Yale University. He is deeply committed to building entrepreneurial and public-private ecosystems that promote sustainable business practices and environmental stewardship.
