Marc Weinstein is a venture investor, startup advisor, and yoga instructor with extensive experience investing, advising, and building startups in the cryptocurrency industry. With a degree in Economics from the Wharton School and a background in investment banking, Weinstein founded his first company, TINCO, to protect investors from the purchasing power destruction of quantitative easing. He then went on to launch Satya Management, an advisory business serving startups in the consumer, media, entertainment, and wellness industries, and 90sFest, a live events platform that pioneered the convergence of experiential marketing with mass social media distribution. Weinstein also served as part of the executive team responsible for salvaging the infamous Fyre Festival. Following this, he delved deeper into the cryptocurrency industry and became a Principal at Wave Financial. After striking out on his own, Weinstein has found a home as Head of Platform at Mechanism Capital, a blockchain-focused venture fund, where he leads portfolio development with a focus on decentralized finance (DeFi). In his free time, Weinstein is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, a podcast host of The Look Up! Podcast, and a keynote speaker at events for founders and students alike.
