The Advisor Digitalization facilitates that translation and represents UNIZO at various steering groups amongst Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber ​​Security (CS) as well as other digital fora.
Also a solid network with organizations that are leading in the field of digitalization and innovation will be further grown as part of a supportive digital ecosystem for the members, not the least UNIZO's research department, which follows these trends in terms of policy.

One of the main activities will be to translate all relevant information and topics into practice and implement them in UNIZO's current offer to entrepreneurs (info and actua sessions, counseling, online advice days, entrepreneur forums, innovation forums, ...).

Big data, the Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity hold significant potential value for European SMEs, but unlocking the value of these technologies can be cumbersome. Their emergence is creating new specialised skills gaps, shortages and mismatches, especially for SMEs, who cannot afford to compete with large enterprises to attract and retain the scarce digital talents

The European Commission has launched a new initiative aimed at developing a common vision, toolbox and roadmap supporting SMEs to develop the skills needed to work with big data, IoT and cybersecurity.  The goal of the initiative, including several workshops and a conference is to agree on a shared vision and to identify supporting measures fostering skills development for SMEs.

Set up of first IBS application maintenance group and transfer project to maintenance mode after the post-review.

Systems Engineer Supervisor

Analyze (functional and technical analysis based on KBDM methodology, PACBASE) the general ledger (GL) subsystem of the International Bank System (IBS) including all compulsory country financial management reporting (Belgian Banking Commission (Model-A), Bank of England, Hong Kong Banking Commission and US Federal Reserve) for KBC.

Obligatory army service with 2 months of general petty officer training in Turnhout.  Then 6 months specific training and management of telecommunications operations within the 6TTR (Transmission Troups) Unit in Ludenscheid (GER).  Led a platoon of 30+ soldiers and participated in 3 large-scale manoeuvres across Germany.
Hereafter 2 times recalled (1986 and 1988) and promoted to Sergeant-Major.
