Pete Cairns is a highly experienced chemical and energy project developer and manager, with an extensive background in leading technical teams across project execution stages. Cairns studied chemical engineering at the University of Cape Town and has more than 12 years of experience in conceptualizing, designing, assessing, and executing chemical and energy projects across South Africa, Qatar, Nigeria, Spain, Italy, and the UK. He was previously a Senior Licensor for Licensees, Catalyst & Chemicals at Sasol and currently works as a Manager at Partners in Performance. Cairns received a PhD in Chemical Engineering for his work on the Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis and has also been recognized for his skills in project management, earning a distinction for the Project Management Theory and Practice course at the University of the Witwatersrand.
