Joseph Miller
Joseph Miller is a highly accomplished professional with an extensive background in tech startups, causal inference, and discovery, as well as expertise in AI/ML. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University in addition to an Executive MBA in Asset Management from Yale School of Management. Joseph's doctoral work focused on the design and application of micro-fabricated particle accelerators to radiation oncology and nuclear medicine physics. His project received funding from numerous organizations such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Kavli Institute of Nanotechnology, and the Sloan Foundation.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Joseph completed a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and studied at the Community College at MiraCosta College. After graduation, he worked as a graphic and web designer, product developer, and professional musician. He founded and served as the CEO of Openmind, Knucklebone Games, and Motistic Fashion. Additionally, Joseph worked as a Physicist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and held various positions at Bridgewater Associates such as Manager of Technology & Intelligence, Product Engineering Manager, Knowledge Engineer, and Investment Engineer.
Currently, Joseph is an advisor and Chief Data Scientist at PearPop and a former Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist at Vivun. He is passionate about research pushing us closer to the inevitability of AGI and remains a highly sought-after professional in the tech and AI/ML industries.
