Organizational Overview: Mind Blowing Films (MBF), a film production / distribution company which specialises in Indian films and distributes theatrically throughout Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. It also provides local production support to Indian films shot in Australia and New Zealand. In 2014 Mind Blowing Films won the prestigious 'Highest Grossing Foreign Language Film' award at the 69th Australian International Movie Convention for the film Dhoom 3, which took in $1.72 million at the box office. Role Profile: Headed the newly formed 'Innovation Centre’, which was tasked with solutioning against existing problem statements and also conceptualizing and visioning products/ services towards the future of travel. The Centre was responsible for delivering both customer (B2C) and employee (B2E) digital propositions for Cathay Pacific and its subsidiaries. These included web, mobile, displays and kiosk channels, and emerging technologies, such as, biometrics, drones, IoT, 3D, beacons, wearables, artificial intelligence, virtual reality amongst others. The Innovation Centre uses Design Thinking, user-centric-design and agile frameworks and methodologies. The centre has won two HKICT and one HKGCC award for its new products.

Highlights: Credited for putting tablets in the hands of Cabin Crew inflight, created virtual assistants to assist call centre operators using Artificial Intelligence, developed the 'Electronic Flight Bags' for the new A350 aircrafts, developed 3D scanners for defect reporting for engineers, looked at sensor-mounted drones, biometrics for wellness etc. Mobility was a key focus and we put in about 10-15 different mobile apps into the workforce. In addition, we also built the customer facing front-end website and mobile apps for Cathay, Cathay Dragon, Cargo and Asia Miles etc

Job Profile: Led the technology component of the acquisition team to bid and secure a retail business for USD$2.1 Billion. Subsequently was seconded to the Australian office for a period of 12 months to provide planning and QA function towards the interim IT operations and integration program between new and existing organizations. Focus was to stabilize lights-on, manage orphaned teams and projects, and plan towards end-state (for IPO listing).

Highlights: Due-diligence for a USD$2.1 Billion acquisition, QA towards a USD$95 Million integration program containing multiple work-streams, managed development of new digital channel for new brand, managing risk & compliance department for the new energy retail business

Job Profile: Led the business improvement practice for Holdings company and head office corporate units. Improvement team bridged business users and solution delivery teams and acted as a change agent to shape business problems/requirements into projects and vice versa position innovative solutions into the business for adoption. The role encompassed the analysis of needs/opportunities, solution development, feasibility studies/business cases and high-level management of pilot/implementation projects. Role also involved the planning and management of operational and capital budgets. Vertically aligned organization provided exposure to various systems from digital media management technologies, customer relationship management systems, ticketing applications, digital cinema and hosting services etc.
