Carol Brittain is a seasoned business/transactional lawyer with a wealth of experience in guiding businesses through various stages of development, particularly excelling in contract negotiation, ownership expansion, and licensing.

With a background as the former General Counsel of a $200 million privately held company, Carol brings a unique client-centered perspective to her legal practice, emphasizing the importance of aligning legal strategies with business objectives.

Her expertise spans across a range of specialties including business start-up and growth, contract review and drafting, licensing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private placement of securities, and ownership expansion for privately held companies.

Having pursued educational paths in Anthropology and languages for her Bachelor of Arts, International Business for her Master of Business Administration, and Law for her Juris Doctor, Carol has a diverse academic background that enriches her legal acumen.

Throughout her career, she has held roles at reputable law firms such as Foley & Lardner LLP and MBV Law LLP, while also contributing as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

Carol's extensive work experience includes serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Dakin, Inc., as well as holding positions at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Whittaker Corporation, and Reavis & McGrath (now Fulbright & Jaworski).
