Michael Garcia is an accomplished academic and researcher with a significant background in science, engineering and environmental studies. He earned his PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and his Bachelors and Masters from Texas A&M University. With a passion for scientific research, Michael has served as a postdoctoral research fellow at both the University of Arizona and the University of Texas. His research interests include biogeochemical cycling of carbon in varied environments, waste management and monitoring, microbial ecology, and biodiversity conservation. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at numerous conferences. Beyond his research work, Michael has experience working with undergraduate students in lab development, experimental design and mentorship. With a well-developed skillset in science and engineering, Michael is poised to continue his impactful work in the scientific and academic fields.
