Kim Tran is a notable freelance journalist, author, and public speaker with a Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She has had her work published in prominent media outlets, including the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, and Vice News. Tran has extensive experience as an Anti-Oppression Trainer and Consultant and has worked with several organizations, including Self-Employed and ReadySet. She is a former Lecturer at UC Berkeley and has acted as an Executive Editor for nsn: an ethnic studies journal. Tran is also the former Executive Publisher of Third Woman Press: Queer and Feminist of Color Publishing and has served as a Community Outreach Coordinator for LGBTQ YouthSpace.
