Senior Machine Learning Engineer

I built models that automate components of account’s workflow. Beginning with conversations about raw data, going all the way to deploying and monitoring models. My models utilize pipelines of techniques ranging from dimensionality reduction to recurrent neural networks. My work products include synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD, and MLOps.I also managed a small full stack machine learning engineering team. As a manager I focus on an environment of communication through well documented, shared code bases, quality git practices, pair programming, and agile task tracking.I was also responsible for the transition from on-premises machine learning model training and deployment to the Azure cloud. I built an environment and code tools giving machine learning engineers the flexibility they need to develop the best model while ensuring data security.

Lead cohorts of of Data Science Immersive students. In addition providing pedagogically strong lectures across the scope of DSI curriculum, was responsible for organizing the schedule, delivery and execution of entire program for groups of 25+ students.Advised over 100 data science projects ranging from neural network based computer vision models to NLP based collaborative filtering recommenders.

Lectured on machine learning algorithms, techniques and programming methodology. Improve existing curriculum to align with industry standards.Designed and developed a 6 week Python course from scratch to build out the educational offerings and provide more opportunities for potential students, see link below.

Assisted with instruction of the Data Science Immersion program. Daily responsibilities ranged from developing and giving lessons on machine learning techniques and theories to aiding students with code debugging. The overarching goal being helping students develop a deeper understanding of practicing data science. Assessed prospective DSI students python skills and their potential to succeed in the program.
