Feres Chaddad is a Livre Docente Professor, Associate Professor, and Head of the Neurosurgery Discipline at the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP). He is also the Coordinator of Neurosurgery at Hospital Beneficencia Portuguesa de Sao Paulo.
With 16 years of experience working with Prof. Dr. Evandro de Oliveira, who was his mentor, Feres Chaddad now leads the Vascular Neurosurgery Department at UNIFESP, focusing on treating, teaching, and researching cerebrovascular pathologies like Cerebral and Spinal Arteriovenous Malformations, Aneurysms, and Cerebral Cavernomas.
Internationally recognized for his expertise in treating Cerebrovascular Diseases, especially Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs), Aneurysms, and Cerebral Cavernomas, Feres Chaddad is sought after worldwide for surgeries and as a lecturer at major conferences and symposiums.
He is in charge of the Specialization and Improvement Program in Vascular Neurosurgery at UNIFESP, welcoming neurosurgeons from around the globe and overseeing the Microsurgical Anatomy Laboratory, offering extension courses to students worldwide.
Feres Chaddad plays a pivotal role in training Brazilian and foreign neurosurgeons, holds a position as a Professor in the Postgraduate Program in Neurology and Neurosciences at UNIFESP, and is a member of various prestigious neurosurgical associations globally.
His extensive educational background includes research in Microvascular Microsurgery, Anatomical Microsurgery, and Neurology, with degrees from renowned institutions like the University of Florida, Universidade de São Paulo, and Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
