Thomas Franken is a software engineer and technology entrepreneur who has specialized in the gaming sector, with extensive experience in building start-ups in the field. He has notably created online platforms, developed scalable real-time systems architecture with socket servers, designed and implemented 3D client experiences for mobile platforms, web and Xbox, optimized art-dev toolchain, and cloud deployment strategies. Franken holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Konstanz and completed his Abitur at Schule Schloss Salem. He worked at the CG Lab at the University of Konstanz and the Visual Computing Laboratory - ISTI - CNR - Italy as a student researcher and researcher & programmer, respectively. Prior to starting his own company Pangaia Games, he worked as a CTO at Experimental Game GmbH, co-founder and Lead Client Engineer at CMUNE, and Senior Game Developer at CMUNE.
