Erez Cohen
Erez Cohen is a former CEO of Mapsense, a mapping company that analyzed geospatial data for technology, finance, advertising, and environmental customers, which was acquired by Apple in 2015. At Apple, he grew the Maps team, from Mapsense to over 40 engineers, and developed the company's primary map tool. Erez is a former forward-deployed engineer at Palantir technologies and a former PhD candidate in Operations Research at Columbia University. He also studied MS and BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
Erez has worked as an analyst at Bioproduction Group and as a trading/quant intern at Parallax Volatility Advisers, LLC. He has also been a researcher at the National Center of Excellence for Aviation Operations Research at UC Berkeley known as NEXTOR. Outside of work, Erez has been studying deep learning and volunteering with non-profit organizations while figuring out his next move.
