Dr. Nino Kuntseva-Gabashvili, an accomplished expert in start-up formation and management, technology transfer and commercialization, and innovation and industrial policy with 18 years of experience in Georgian and international organizations, has made a significant impact on the legal and business consulting service, international donor organizations, and project management fields. With an LLM level education in civil law, a Ph.D. in art history and film and TV, and a Fulbright visiting professor scholarship at Stanford University in innovation policy and technology management, infrastructure development and legislation, she has evaluated more than 800 technology-based projects and authored 42 scientific articles, analytical papers, and four books. Alongside her background in academia, she has held key positions in various organizations, including founding partner and CEO at Business Intelligence and Valuation Group - BVG, Deputy Director on Business Development and Commercialization at Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology, Group Lead at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Head of Innovation and Technology Commercialization Department at GITA – Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency. Furthermore, she has been a Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) director at Georgian Research & Development Foundations, IP consultant at the Stanford University Technology Licensing Office, and technology-based start-ups development consultant at US Market Access Center, among other roles. Most notably, Dr. Nino Kuntseva-Gabashvili was the country coordinator for the Global Internet Policy Initiative at Internews Network and the co-founder and chairperson of the Georgian Intellectual Property Association.
