Celia Alario is a renowned communications strategist, media skills trainer, and coach with over two decades of experience. She has provided one-on-one coaching for numerous directors and trained hundreds of spokespeople on media and messaging training. Celia has worked on groundbreaking media campaigns, and she has been instrumental in placing thousands of stories about critical social justice and environmental issues in media outlets worldwide. Additionally, her expertise in communication strategy, branding, and publicity has earned her a respected reputation in the field. Celia studied Environmental Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Research Masters in Built Environment and Development at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Celia is an Advisory Board member of the Kindle Project and has worked with organizations such as Protect Democracy, Women and Gender Constituency, and WEDO (Women's Environment and Development Organization). She has also served on the Board of Media Alliance and the Center for Story-based Strategy. Further, she was a lecturer in the Environmental Studies department and the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara. Her interests also encompass radio production and hosting, public relations, social media, creative visuals, and group meeting facilitation.
