Christophe Servan, PhD in Computer Science, is a seasoned NLP Research Scientist with extensive experience in neural and statistical machine translation (NMT & SMT), deep learning & big data, natural and spoken language understanding (NLU & SLU), ASR output processing, dialogue systems and machine learning. With over a decade of research and development experience, Christophe has worked with some of the world's leading organizations including Qwant, SYSTRAN, the University of Grenoble, Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE), University of Le Mans, and the CEA LIST. After obtaining his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Avignon, France, Christophe went on to work as a Chercheur - Ingénieur at CEA, postdoctoral researcher in Speech and Language Technology at the University of Le Mans, France (LIUM), research engineer at the Vision & Content Engineering Laboratory at the CEA LIST, and research fellow at the University of Joseph Fourier in Grenoble. Most recently, Christophe Seran serves as a NLP Research Scientist at Qwant.

With a passion for data-driven approaches to multilingual language processing and information retrieval, Christophe's research focuses on developing cutting-edge natural language processing techniques for improving search engines' performance, machine learning algorithms for document access, and text translation into different languages. His research work has appeared in several scholarly journals and publications, including Google Scholar and HAL. When he's not conducting research, Christophe enjoys sharing his findings and mentoring young researchers.
