Tom Izzo is a retired tax specialist who has over twenty-two years of experience in the field of state and local taxation. He had worked for Ryan, LLC's National Complex Property Tax Practice for several years before retiring in December of 2018. He has specialized in complex property taxation across various industries, including electric power generation, telecommunications, airlines, and manufacturing. He has provided notable consulting and tax appeal services across the United States, drafting and filing appeal petitions, briefs, and administrative agency ruling requests, negotiating tax reductions, and arguing cases in formal hearings. His services have included mergers, acquisitions, and new facilities development due diligence review, analysis, and documentation with respect to ad valorem taxes, real property transfer taxes, and sales taxes. Izzo earned a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Economics from The University of Kansas and studied Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
