Matt Martin
Matt Martin is a community researcher and grants management officer at The Columbus Foundation. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Urban Affairs, Urban Planning, Public Administration, and African/African American Studies at Wright State University. He pursued further studies and completed a Masters in City & Regional Planning at The Ohio State University. Matt has worked in various organizations, including the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, City of Piqua, and City of Kettering. Before joining The Columbus Foundation, he served as the senior researcher at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University.
As a community researcher, Matt strives to promote and improve the community's well-being by assisting donors and everyone involved. His expertise in urban and regional planning helps him identify areas that require improvement and determine the best course of action to address them. His professional experience in grants management has enabled him to work with different organizations to create meaningful change in their communities. Matt's interest in promoting equity in communities is evident in his work at the Foundation and previous organizations he has served.
