Andreas Froech

Andreas Froech is a seasoned figure in the field of architecture, construction, and digital fabrication. He has established himself as an expert in building materials and creative problem-solving through his education and career, dedicated to solving architectural fabrication dilemmas, efficiently and innovatively, with a focus on digital technologies. Froech holds a Diploma Engineer in Architecture, received from Technische Hochschule Vienna, and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. He has contributed to UCLA School of Architecture as a teacher from 1997 to 2000, alongside his career as a project manager for Greg Lynn FORM. Later, he specialized in the production and fabrication of lightweight, light-transmitting honeycomb panels, holding several US patents for their design. In 2008, Froech went on to establish Machineous, a digital manufacturing and robotics firm that builds solutions to complex architectural fabrication projects. He has worked as a consultant since 2014, using his extensive experience to develop solutions for outside clients. Andreas Froech is recognized as an influential figure in architecture and has moderated a panel, discussing the possibilities of robotic technology entering the construction site of today at the Facadesplus Conference. He will join a Dialog Workshop to share his ideas about the future of construction and prefabrication.
