Mikhail Silin is a highly qualified Intellectual Property and Open Innovation expert with extensive experience in managing the IP and innovation practices of major R&D centers. With a PhD in digital signal processing from the National Research Nuclear University "MEPHI" and years of experience as a Russian Patent and Trademark attorney, Mikhail has developed a keen knowledge of the legal landscape surrounding technology patents and is able to work closely with Rospatent to secure patents for R&D results. He is also a Eurasian Patent Attorney, having filed for and managed regional patents in eight states. At different stages of his career, Mikhail served as the Head of Intellectual Property and Open Innovation for Samsung Electronics and Licensing and Technology Transfer Manager at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. He was also a member of the Board at LES Russia, a public organization. In his current role as an Intellectual Property Counsel at Philips, he plays a pivotal role in developing IP policy and regulation, arranging patenting of R&D results and trademark registration, and working on legal actions against infringers.
