Ari Korhonen has established himself over 20 years as a successful technology entrepreneur and angel investor, investing both privately and through his company, Lagoon Capital. With experience in investment rounds of 40 companies, Ari has proven himself as a valuable asset to the tech industry. His investments in companies, including MariaDB, DealDash, Klevu, Miradore, Thirdpresence, Surveypal, and Jobilla, have resulted in eight successful exits. In addition, Ari's success extends to his involvement in venture capital and buyout funds such as Seedcamp, 500 Startups, True Global Ventures, Spintop Ventures, and KJK Capital. His industry expertise has led to his appointment as a Growth Partner in Evli Growth Partners and Senior Advisor at Spintop Ventures.

A co-founder and honorary member of FiBAN, Ari was voted Business Angel of the Year in Finland in 2014. He was also awarded the EBAN Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015, further proving his value to the industry.

Ari has earned a Master of Science degree in engineering from LUT University, and as an Honorary Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration in 2017.
