Nadia Roumani
Nadia Roumani is a highly accomplished and experienced practitioner, academic and social entrepreneur who has worked extensively in the field of civil society and civic leadership, philanthropy, international economic policy, and design thinking. She holds an MIA degree in International Economic Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), and has studied at the Aspen Institute and Stanford University. Nadia has been a co-founder and senior designer of the Designing for Social Systems (DSS) Program at Stanford University, where she taught as a lecturer and was a fellow at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. She was the Walter and Esther Hewlett Design Fellow and Director of the Effective Philanthropy Learning Initiative at the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS), and a program officer for the Building Bridges Program at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Nadia also served as a senior advisor at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, and as director of the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California. She has also been a Director at the Women Leaders Intercultural Forum, and a senior associate at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Nadia's expertise and vast experience encompass civil society, philanthropy, design thinking, civic leadership and international economic policy.
