Natalia Hentschel is a highly skilled urban and environmental planning expert with a passion for public engagement. She received her MA in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine, and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of San Diego. Hentschel is also an IAP2 trained public participation specialist and facilitator, dedicated to crafting outreach programs that ensure the participation of traditionally underrepresented populations in public dialogues.

Hentschel has extensive professional experience, including working as a Land Use and Environmental Planner at the County of San Diego, Senior Account Supervisor – Public Participation Specialist and Stakeholder Facilitator at Katz & Associates, Inc., Urban Planning Consultant at Independent Contractor, and as an Intern at the City of San Diego Redevelopment Agency.

She has also served as a board member for several organizations, including IAP2 USA, the Built Environment Educational Program San Diego (BEEP), and American Planning Association San Diego Section. Additionally, Hentschel has volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity International, Amistad Institute, and Catholic Charities San Diego County.
