Andy Dijkerman is a renowned international development consultant with over 35 years of experience in the field. With a focus on Africa, she has worked as a full-time resident in several countries such as Kenya, Rwanda, Togo, Sudan, Cameroon, and South Africa. Her career has been dedicated to various aspects of development, including infrastructure plans, public-private partnerships, enterprise development, growth strategies accompanied by policy reform, and agricultural market growth. Ms. Dijkerman is also experienced in conducting evaluations and M&E system designs. She is proficient in French and English and has obtained an Executive Coaching Certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Besides her work in Africa, Andy Dijkerman also worked in East Asia, South Asia, Oceania, and the former Soviet Union. She has delivered her expertise to organizations such as the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, UK Aid, Australian Aid, and various governments. Ms. Dijkerman invested in a Kenyan publishing company that delivers practical learning and teaching aids for youth.

Education-wise, Ms. Dijkerman took an MBA in Accounting & Finance at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, a Certificate in Executive Coaching from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Arts or BA in Political Science and Government and English at Tufts University.

On the organizational front, Ms. Dijkerman worked as an independent investor/coach to emerging market enterprises and capacity-building advisor in Uganda. She was also a board member and treasurer/secretary at Jacaranda Designs Ltd and former president of EMG or Emerging Markets Group.
