Heather Fleming is an accomplished educator, translator, and expert in German language and literature. With fluency in academic and conversational German, as well as a strong background in cultural politics and language in East Germany, she is highly regarded in her field. Heather has studied extensively, earning a Master's in German Literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctoral Research degree in Germanistik from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Additionally, she has coursework in literature, sociology, music, and is fluent in Dutch, French, and several ancient Germanic languages. Her educational experience includes teaching at various levels, from German School of San Francisco to the University of California, Irvine. Heather specializes in German instruction, secondary and primary education, and higher education. Her expertise includes German to English translation in art, music, literature, culture, and more, with an emphasis on academic writing. Heather is a 200-Hour RYT certified expert in Iyengar Yoga and holds several diplomas in German, French, English, and music. She has also worked as a program coordinator, teacher, tutor, and translator.
