Sheila Foster is a multifaceted individual, combining her expertise in fundraising, science journalism, and artisan food business management. With more than 15 years of experience as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Sheila has raised over $15 million for nonprofit organizations in Oregon and Northern California. Additionally, Sheila is a graduate of the globally recognized graduate program in Science Communication at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with 20 years of experience in journalism, public relations, marketing, and educational communication. She is also actively involved in the local and sustainable food movement, having built, managed, and co-owned a successful organic artisan bakery. Sheila is highly self-motivated and a proven project coordinator, building successful collaborative partnerships, meeting deadlines, and coordinating complex projects with multiple variables successfully. She is currently the Executive Director at Rogue Valley Farm to School, and her previous roles include Development Director positions in Lomakatsi Restoration Project, SCIENCEWORKS Hands-On Museum, Regenerative Design Institute, and Marin Organic.
