Frank Chen is a seasoned software engineer and product developer, known for his ability to lead and transform engineering teams. He has worked in various industries, including healthcare, finance, government, energy, and consumer packaged goods, providing innovative solutions to complex problems. Frank has an M.S. in Computer Science focused on Human-Computer Interaction from Stanford University, where he researched and developed interventions to create new behaviours through mobile phones. While at Sandia National Labs, he researched visualization and analysis tools for large datasets.
Frank's expertise includes front-end development, architecture, and design. He has experience leading teams of engineers, as well as being a hands-on designer and developer himself. Frank was instrumental in launching AWS WorkDocs, the first secure multi-platform service for enterprise customers while leading a front-end team and infrastructure team at Amazon.
Currently, Frank Chen is a Software Engineer at Slack, where he focuses on developing world-class products and leading engineering teams to revolutionize how people use data.
