Sarah Hayes is a talented portfolio director with a plethora of professional experience and academic qualifications. As part of her current role as portfolio director for the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative at Virginia Tech, Sarah oversees a multitude of projects focused on innovation and workforce development. She draws on her previous role as a program manager, helping clients deliver on time and on budget projects in areas such as cyber security resilience assessments, human capital strategy, and managed security services. One of her standout skills is her public speaking ability, which comes in handy when she is presenting to clients or heads of organizations. She is also proficient in a range of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, SPSS, MS SharePoint, MS Visio, MS Project, and windows and iOS. Sarah is passionate about business, with an M.B.A. in Business Administration from James Madison University, and a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
