The Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) examines environmental, ethical, corporate and consumer dimensions of the fashion and textiles industry, giving students an understanding of the dynamics of the industry, including consumer buying patterns, and how to design, develop, source, communicate and sell fashion products. Students gain an understanding of the dynamics of the industry, with an emphasis on the emerging markets and innovations of the Asia Pacific region, and the latest innovations in technology, e-commerce, sustainability, product management, marketing, retailing and emerging consumer trends.

The Digital Fashion Marketing Strategies is a new course which I have developed for students who wish to acquire the contemporary knowledge and skills required to be a successful Digital Fashion Marketer.

We seek to change lives through the experience of shared stories - to give a voice to the underrepresented, showcase unique perspectives and to champion emerging talent.

The RMIT School of Fashion and Textiles is at the global forefront of fashion and textiles education, training and research, working with industry to foster next-generation design and business leaders. The Master of Fashion (Entrepreneurship) is the first Australian masters by coursework that provides students with the capabilities, knowledge, and confidence to create their own fashion enterprise, or build a career within the global fashion industry.

As the lecturer in Fashion Brand Management, I teach Masters students to analyse brand problems, understand strategic approaches and craft solutions for real-world clients.  I have  developed specialised fashion brand management and marketing courseware and assessments, delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops, sourcing contemporary case studies, discussion topics and clients, and assessing student’s comprehension, applications and performance in class. I have consistently averaged a a GTS and OSI score above 80% including a 100%  rating which was achieved in Semester 2, 2019.

As Head of Strategy, I led the strategy, branding, content, social media, research, innovation and marketing communication services for the agency, growing, pitching and delivering quality services to clients and managing a team of account managers and strategists. During my time, I was lauded for developing and establishing the agency's brand values, improving the performance review and professional development culture and growing new business. As Digital Marketing Manager, I managed the company’s online, eDM, SEO, SEM, performance marketing, loyalty program, market research and digital advertising, web analytics, campaign monitoring and ROI reporting. I generated an average of 150,000 unique visitors per month within the first 3 months of the website’s launch and developed partnerships with key industry associations and media partners.

Before social networking, there was permission marketing, and Empowered Communications was a national leader in this space. I conceptualised, branded and launched a network of ad-sponsored reward sites and generated huge volumes of subscribers who were receptive to receiving acquisition, information and awareness campaigns in exchange for incentives.

As National Marketing Manager and 2IC of the business, I managed staff in 2 cities, managed the publicity and advertising for the network’s online media properties and delivered an 82% revenue growth for the time that I was engaged.

As global marketing manager, I managed the integrated marketing strategy across the education business in 4 countries during the volatile dot com crash of 2000/1, re-branding and takeover bids.

As Marketing Manager, my responsibilities included managing the advertising, market research and promotional program in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and London. This included PR, sponsorships, strategic partnerships, events, conferences, sponsorships and deploying customer retention strategies nationally and internationally. I worked with some excellent regional managers and team leaders during this time and in spite of the disruptions we maintained our student growth targets and graduate job placement rate of over 90%.
