Elizabeth Tulanowski is an experienced GIS professional who has been working in the industry since 1997. With a Master's degree in Environmental Information Science, GIS from Cornell University, Tulanowski started her career at the NY State Gap Analysis Project doing land cover mapping, ground truthing, and wildlife habitat mapping. Later, Elizabeth worked at ESRI, the industry-leading GIS software company, as a software instructor, teaching various courses that included editing, geoprocessing, analysis, extensions, and scripting with Python.

In January of 2018, Elizabeth took on a new position with the CSU Warner College of Natural Resources, serving as a GIS Instructor with the Dept. of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, where she teaches Intro to GIS, Programming for GIS, and will be developing new courses over time. Throughout her career, Tulanowski's focus in GIS has been with ESRI's products, including ArcGIS Dekstop and extensions (Spatial, Network, 3D), the Geodatabase, and ArcGIS Online. Her expertise lies in the Geodatabase, Analysis, Geoprocessing, Python, Cartography, and Editing.

Tulanowski's professional interests lie in becoming proficient with open source solutions such as R and PostGIS. When not teaching, Elizabeth serves as a technical advisor and organizes training and education events. With her educational and professional background, Elizabeth Tulanowski is a valuable asset in the GIS industry who can provide insightful and comprehensive guidance to her students and clients.
