Jeffrey King is a software development and science manager, currently working with Amazon's Alexa AI-Natural Language Understanding team. He is a graduate of Memorial University Newfoundland, where he studied Engineering. Jeffrey has also attended CooperU. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for leading the supply chain optimization tech team at Amazon. With his previous roles at Verafin, Electronic Arts, Canadian Coast Guard, and Clearwater Fine Foods, Jeffrey has extensive experience in software development, technical support, application team management, and R&D.

At Amazon, his team works on cutting-edge research and development in the fields of automatic speech recognition, artificial intelligence, natural language understanding, question answering, dialog management, and text-to-speech. Their goal is to make voice interfaces more natural and ubiquitous as if speaking to a human.
