Stelios Georgakis is an experienced assistant director in the banking industry with a varied academic and professional background. He obtained a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham and an MBA from the Cyprus International Institute of Management. He also studied ACA at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Stelios' expertise lies in Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), Banking, Payment and Electronic Money Institutions, Capital Markets, Banking Supervision, and International Relations. He has worked at various organizations such as the Central Bank of Cyprus, ECB Banking Supervision, and the European Banking Authority.

Stelios has held the position of Assistant Director at the Central Bank of Cyprus, where he demonstrated his strong knowledge of banking and financial markets. He also previously worked as Supervisor at Coopers & Lybrand and Expert at the European Central Bank. As a former Member Board Of Supervisors at European Banking Authority, he had it all to craft a pathway of solid development within the industry.
