Laura de Esteban Burgos, PhD
Laura de Esteban Burgos, PhD, is a passionate and proactive scientist with expertise in molecular oncology. She obtained her B.Sc in Biology from Universidad de Salamanca, and later completed a Master's degree in Molecular Biomedicine, Molecular Biosciences, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Oncology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Laura gained valuable research experience as a former Research Scientist and Ph.D. Researcher at the ONCOLOGY Group led by Dr. Mariano Barbacid at the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO). Her research focused on identifying target combinations for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma. She also worked as an MSc Researcher in TUMOR-INMMUNOLOGY at Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica HULP and an English Teacher at Profesional Independiente.
Laura has a passion for improving cancer patients' treatments and the molecular events that take place during cancer development. For this reason, she joined Eli Lilly and Company as a Medical Affairs Trainee, Oncology effort to utilize her scientific skills to make a meaningful impact in the medical field.
With her expertise in oncology, Laura is well-equipped to collaborate with key experts in the field to investigate and develop effective solutions to this complex disease.
